Module 2 Overview

From Single Strife to Married Life - The Unique State of Coaching Premarital Couples

This Module prepares the Coach to work with couples at the premarital stage of relationship. Many Premarital couples are very focused on planning their wedding, but not focused on planning their marriage. Coaches can coach these couples with their wedding planning and through to a successful transition to becoming a married couple.

This Module also addresses the issues Premarital couples face and offers education & topics to assist the Premarital couple prepare for married life.

The Module looks at different ways to work with couples at this stage, offer instruction to integrate ICF Core Competencies, tools, exercises, & techniques, examines different areas of life couples will face, as they step into the journey of marriage.

There are twenty 90 minutes classes and practicums in this training course for a total of 30 hours of coach training. Classes are twice a week.
Practicums provide an opportunity for the coach to practice the coaching skills they have learned in class.  They are scheduled throughout the training to provide opportunities for instructor-observed student coaching practice.

HomeWork Assignments

Homework includes: Reading and Writing Assignments; reviewing the exercises & tools presented in class;  applying some of the techniques to the participants own life; Reflection & Inquiry
