Is Impact Coaching Academy an accredited coach training organization?
Yes, we are an accredited coach training organization. We are accredited by the following industry organizations:
ICA's Professional Life Coach training programs (Professional Life Coach Foundations Training - 35 hours, and our Advanced Principles Master Certified Coach Training - 35 hours in English and Spanish) are approved as ICF (International Coach Federation) ACSTH coach training hours.
Most of our Niche Coach training programs are ICF ACSTH approved programs. Approved hours vary dependent upon the course.
All of our courses align with the International Association of Coaches Coaching Masteries and we are a licensed IAC school.
Our Business and Executive Coach training course is approved by the CCE (Center for Credentialing and Education) – We are in the process of applying for the CCEs BCC designation for all of our programs.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we offer payment plans even though our tuition fees are among the lowest in the industry. We want to make sure that our training is accessible to as many aspiring coaches as possible.
Will I have an opportunity to receive feedback on my coaching ?
Yes, all of our live training courses accomodate coaching practice and observation with feedback by our instructors. Every step of the way you will practice your skills and be mentored.
Is there a contract I need to sign?
We do not require any contract. You register only for the programs, products and services you want. If you opt for a payment plan, you will need to execute a payment plan agreement before you are able to access any of the training or materials. To review the contract click here.
Will I be able to interact with other students?
Yes. You will be part of our ICA community of coaches and will have access to our member forum where you can connect with other coaches. In our live training courses you will be partnered with another student coach (Buddy Coach) to provide you both with additional opportunities to coach.
Am I required to hire a personal life coach during the course?
No. However, you may want to participate in one of our support groups or hire one of our mentor coaches to support you in your personal and professional development.

Will you give me on-going support once I graduate?
Yes. Upon successful completion of the your training you may continue to participate in our monthly support calls related to the training course you have completed. We hold monthly support calls for Life Coaches, Niche Coaching and Business Building. You are welcome to participate. We offer different plans to accomodate your specific support needs, including Group Support, Master Mind Support and 1-1 Mentoring Support.
Do I get to practice what I learn?
Yes, you will have numerous opportunities in the live training courses to practice coaching skills in a safe and observed environment with your Coach Trainer, and you will also have Buddy Coaching calls throughout your training. Practice is crucial to your development as a coach and your mastery of the coaching skills and competencies. Will you teach me what I need to know about building my coaching business?
Yes. We offer a number of business building training programs that are available as Self-Paced Study or live Tele-Class. These programs offer specific training on various aspects of building your business.
Do I have to take an Exam to receive my certificate?
Yes. In order to receive your Coach certification you must have participated in a live training course and will be required to complete an exam. Don't worry! If you have participated int he training you should have no problem passing the exam.
If you have taken a Self-Paced Study path there is no exam required and you will not receive any certification.
If I take ICA’s Self-Paced Study courses will I learn as much as in a live Tele-class or In-person Intensive?
The Self-Paced Study courses are modified versions of our live training courses, but provide comprehensive content, materials and audio training. You will not have an opportunity to receive live interaction with the instructor, or practice coaching that is observed by the instructor. But you will have all the technical skills needed to coach. You can start coaching and practicing immediately. Our Self-Paced Study programs are an inexpensive way to experience the program foundations. Upgrading is easy should you wish live, interactive training.
What Equipment will I need to participate in training?
All you will need to take our training is a telephone, computer, internet connection, access to a printer and a headset with a microphone.
What materials will I need for the course?
All you will need is a pen or pencil and paper for taking notes. We will supply you with all the rest including your ICA Coach training Manual, class Syllabus, all supplemental materials and class recordings. We will also send you your Professional Coaching Certificate once you graduate.
Are there any hidden costs associated with ICA training?
No. When you register for a training course you will receive all the training and materials you need to complete your course. The exam cost is included in your tuition.
